April 2015- Easter, Soccer, Weird Medical Ailments

It has been a busy Spring in the Marquez household!

Easter arrived late this year, but the girls were beyond excited for the Easter egg hunts. We might have gone a little overboard last year, and that is all they can talk about lately. "How many egg hunts will we have?" They might be missing the significance of the holiday.

A rare picture with all of us!
The Easter hype is real! These two were smiley all morning.

Cuddles with dad! Apparently Jose loves Easter, too!
Easter surprise?
This month was also full of family walks. Since the rains are fewer we have been taking advantage of our evenings and getting outside.
This has also been a month of strange medical ailments. One day I woke up like this! (Isn't that a hashtag? #iwokeuplikethis I am pretty sure this is not what they had in mind.) No rhyme or reason, just a creepy swollen lip.

Bella also had asthma flare ups, so she spent some quality time with her nebulizer.
Bella had her first real sporting event. She was begging us to try soccer, so we signed her up for tot soccer. It was pretty much 50+ toddlers and preschoolers running around kicking balls. Total chaos!
Bella seemed to have fun, but she kept asking when they were going to play a real game.
Not this year.
Natalia was less entertained. She really did not understand why she couldn't run around with Bella and the big kids.
So, we watched from the sidelines. It is times like these when i realize that my children are giants.
April also brought a visit from Jill and Josh. Their wedding is in August, and they came up for a preview day at Black Butte for all the wedding couples. My mom and I were their guests for a day of food sampling and fun.

First, we stopped at Clear Lake on the way up. It was a gorgeous day!
After the food tasting and vendor booth visits, Jill and Josh met with their photographer to take engagement photos. My mom and I scouted out our house for the summer trip.

Then, we crashed their photo shoot. A photo of a photo of a photo.
Later that weekend, Bella and I rode bikes to the corner store for some ice cream. This weather has been so wonderful for an Oregon spring!
Finally, we closed out the month with more soccer. This time, not so nice weather, but we had fun!
