This summer our family visited 12 new parks. We still have over 30 to visit, so I think this will be an ongoing project, but we have discovered some great new play areas.
On a random Thursday, the girls and I went to Bramblewood Park. The area was a little sketchy, but the park was pretty secluded and had a fun play area. It was super hot, so we didn't stay long.
We had a quick pizza lunch, then played.
This was a fun park that we will definitely go back to when it is cooler. Sand + swings + good play structure.
And several slides.
We also went to Tandy Turn Park. This was another fun neighborhood park. It was pretty small, but had sand, a merry go round, swings, a slide, and bouncy things.
The girls had a good time.
Merry go rounds are always a hit.
Bella has her favorite.
So does Natalia.
In Springfield, we went to Royal Delle Park. It was totally hidden in the middle of a circle of houses. We spotted the sign and follwed the small path in.
It was surprisingly big!
There was a small playground at the end.
The girls ran around with another kid, but the play structure was unimpressive and hard for Natalia to climb. We didn't stay too long because they weren't big fans.
Kandice chose an adventure at Lincoln School Park.
Natalia liked that it had a little slide.
Bella liked the big slide and swings.
Finally, our last park of the summer was Country Lane Park. It was another small neighborhood park, but was really busy the night we were there.
It had all the requirements. Except sand.
And some bonus fun like the speaker pipes and bouncy car.
We had a great time this summer exploring new places and will share more as we visit.
