- We have this wellness thing at work where they draw blood, weigh you, take blood pressure, etc. and you get a discount for your health insurance. We are pretty healthy, but could use a little bit of work in the healthy eating department. Since Jose thinks his cholesterol is too high (it isn't), I finally convinced him that not all meals need to have meat. For our first Meatless Monday, I made this:
Quinoa, cranberries, garbanzos, feta, spinach, and tomatoes spiced with cinnamon, salt, and broth. He really liked it. I was meh about it, but with a few tweaks I think it could be super delicious!
- Natalia is a big talker. And a smiler. But no longer a sleep through the nighter. This makes me both sad and tired.
- Natalia also has been trying out her Bumbo. It is moderately successful until she throws her head backward and gives me a heart attack.
- The girls dressed in their Oregon Duck best, but it ended badly. I don't want to talk about it. Just know I really don't like Stanford.
- I got two moles removed today, and two former moles that were keloids injected. It hurt! Wear sunscreen.
- Isn't she pretty!?
- Kandice and I are up to something new. No surprise. If we stick it out until the end of December I will write about it. If not, we will pretend it never happened. But we have three gold stars and zero red check marks on our sticker chart.
- Jose saw this picture and said, "I should be in the movie 300!"
- Each day at preschool, Bella's teachers write a sentence or two about what each child did that day. Played dress up. Was a gorilla. Liked playing in the kitchen with S. Last week her blurb read, "M (another girl in her class) said: Bella, your face doesn't look so good. Bella said: It is because I have a lot of boogers." She had a cold. That interaction made me laugh so hard.
