Bella has never been a very good sleeper. She has always been more interested in staying awake and interacting with the world, but a few months ago we finally got into a pretty good sleep routine. I have read many, many, many books on children and sleep to find some recommendations that worked for our family. Part of the process was trying to get Bella attached to a lovey so she would sleep cuddled next to something that wasn't me. No luck.
Until last week. This blanket, knitted by my Nana, was made for Bella when she was born. It has been used a lot in the past year, but last week it really caught Bella's eye. It was draped over the rocking chair in her room, and she wanted to wrap it around herself while we read books and rocked to sleep. Every night since then, she picks it up and cuddles with it as she falls asleep.
