Isabella is at this really fun stage where she repeats everything that Jose and I say. She is finally starting to put an ending syllable on words, so it is also easier to understand her. She tries so hard to put an ending on her words that they are sometimes accented weirdly, like Mom-MEE, and Uh-PUH.
Last Friday, I made some spaghetti for dinner and Bella pointed to the pot where they were cooking. I told her I was making noodles. Noodoo, she repeated.
Our spaghetti picnic on the back patio:
She also recently became obsessed with Elmo. We think she got this from our next door neighbors, since she never really watches tv at home. And Isaac loves Elmo! Each night she will repeat Ehmo, Ehmo, Ehmo until we relent and let her watch a little Sesame Street or read her an Elmo book.
Bella's cuddle buddy:
Bella has also picked up certain words or phrases that we say, and they are so funny coming out of a toddler. Ay ay ay, boobie, cracker, I know, and juice (any liquid not water) are her favorites.
