For a while I was almost caught up with blogging our adventures in real time. Then July happened. It was really busy, and now I have so much to update.
So, Independence Day happened on 4th of July (as it does each year), and we went to Creswell (as we do each year)!
The parade was great this year! It was hot, but short and the girls enjoyed hanging out.
Particularly hanging out in the shade.
After the parade, we went to the Eusted's for a BBQ!
It was still hot, but they have such a wonderful, shady yard.
The girls ran through the sprinkler.
And played in the baby pool.
Jose BBQ'd the burgers and hot dogs, then had a beer.
And of course, there was swinging!
That afternoon, around nap time, we went home to relax and prepare for the neighborhood fireworks extravaganza.
Natalia put on her patriotic tattoo.
At dark, all the neighbors came out to the culdesac with lawn chairs, and the kids lit their hundreds of dollars worth of fireworks. Natalia loved the loud noises and bright light. Bella is still working on her fear of them, but she did great and had fun!
Yay, America!
