Enchanted Forest 2014

The final item on the Cousin Fun To Do List was Enchanted Forest. It was recently voted one of the Creepiest Parks for Kids, but our kids love it.

First off is the fairytale village. As you walk through there are little displays of Humpty Dumpty on a wall, Little Miss Muffet on a tuffet, and the witch trying to cook Hansel and Gretel (ok, so it is a little creepy).

One of their favorites is the old woman's shoe (the one who had so many kids she didn't know what to do) which has a big slide. They could spend hours and hours going down the slide.

Bella and Aiden wanted to race.

Even Natalia really enjoyed it, but she loves slides.

After we finally coaxed them to the next section, the Wild West, they met this squirrel. At least I think it is a squirrel. Natalia insisted it was a bear, but no. (Note, this is one reason we haven't yet gone to Disneyland. I would have a bunch of pictures on Natalia doing this.)

A new addition since last year was face painting. In fact, face painting by a sherrif. It was seriously the best face painting I have ever seen. Aiden got a shark.

Bella got a butterfly, and talked up the sherrif while he painted.

Natalia got a cupcake.

They were so excited to do this. Bella said, "People are going to look at me and say who is that beautiful butterfly, and I will say no I am a girl!"

Next stop was panning for treasure. For $.95 the kids got tons of pretty rocks. Bella could have stayed at this station all afternoon.

But, we enticed them on with the promise of rides. Our first ride was the Ice Mountain rollercoaster. Somehow, my not quite 2 year old was tall enough and wanted to go. We didn't get any pictures, but she didn't cry and liked it okay. However, she did not want to go on anymore rides after that. Bella and Aiden started with the bumper boats.

And mostly drove in circles.

Then came the train which Natalia wanted absolutely no part of.

Finally was the mini ferris wheel.
The kids had a great time, and they slept on the way home. Thanks to Yadira for most of the vaction pictures!
