In July, Jose's cousins came to visit from California. They came to visit last summer, too, and all the kids wanted to redo the adventures we had last time... Enchanted Forest, Chuck E Cheese, etc. We also added a few fun adventures this year. We started out with some ice cream!
Jose's aunt, uncle, and another cousin came, too. While they were here, Pili celebrated her birthday. The kids were super excited for cake and a pinata.
They all took turns hitting the burro while Jose moved the pinata and laughed hysterically.
They were focused with their hitting!
Natalia was a little skeptical.
But Pili helped her out a bit. I don't think she really understood what the reward was going to be.
The winner, though, was Abuela. She was serious about her pinata hitting. It was a really good reminder not to make her mad because this lady can swing a stick! Bella thought this was the funniest thing she had ever seen.
When the candy spilled out, Natalia really got in on the action. Of course, they wanted to eat it all immediately. What are birthdays for, but to consume tons of sugar?
Aiden and Natalia were not the best of friends this trip. Aiden still viewed Natalia as a baby and thought she couldn't and shouldn't do the things that Bella and he could do. Natalia was adamant that she was big and could tag along with all their activites. There were a few hurt feelings on both sides, but as they get older I am sure they will have lots of fun together. This was a very sweet moment when they got along.
They also had fun making up games together. I think this was some soccer/ basketball hybrid.
We also went to Chapala to celebrate and someone told them it was Pili's birthday. It is always so fun to hang out with family!
