There Was an Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe

If I have seen you lately, you have probably heard the story about how my house is too small. Jose and I bought our house in 2005, just before we got married. Since then, Jose has put a lot of work into the house (new flooring, new paint, newer carpet, new roof, new heat pump, etc.). Since then, we have also had two children.

Our 1200 square foot house was perfect when it was just the two of us (and Honey). We had room for a guest room AND an office. At one point, we had a treadmill in the office. Now with 4 of us and 2 dogs, we are out of space. I love our house, but with no linen closet and no room for a desk, I feel like we are constantly living in chaos. Sheets and towels are crammed in tiny cupboards and our nice china is wrapped in boxes because we have no place to store it.

So, we are officially on the hunt for a new house. Our goal is to finish up a few tiny projects by the spring and put our house on the market. (Anyone want to buy a super cute, well maintained house?) We found a house we LOVE, but is it a bit out of our price range because the taxes are ridiculous. Hopefully, our house will sell quickly and we will find another house we LOVE in our price range. If anyone knows any houses for sale in our area that might fit our needs, let me know!
