Finally, it got to be evening and we got ready to begin the fun! Bella the scary raccoon, and Natalia the cute butterfly were ready with pumpkin baskets!
First, we drove to Abuela's and Gramma Jamma's to show our costumes and get treats! The grandmas always have exciting treats. This year they included light up pumpkins and a pumpkin shaped cake. Plus, lots of candy!
Natalia went for it and tried to eat her candy through the wrapper. She was not bothered by a little bit of paper/ foil.
The girls got quite the haul this year! (More for me to eat!) We were only out for about 45 minutes, but they were ready to go home and eat their treasures. It was really fun to see them interact. There was some trading of candies, and they did a great job sharing!
Bella spent the rest of the evening helping me pass out candy. She really enjoyed giving the candy to the other kids. One of my favorites was the family dressed as Mario, Luigi, and a mushroom. They were probably 4, 3, and 2 years old. I said, "Oh, I love the Mario brothers." The oldest boy told me, "It is only a costume." Thanks for clarifying!
