Our 4th of July started off bright and early at 6:30 am and began yelling, "Bacon!" I guess she really wanted some, but we convinced her to go back to sleep. When we finally woke up for good, we got ready, finalized our fruit pizza flags, and headed down to Creswell for the annual parade.
It was HOT! Fortunately, Bella and I were mostly in the shade (except for my left arm, which is now bright red) so it wasn't too bad. Poor Jose is very red. Well red/tan.
Bella spent the parade eating noodles and yelling out comments at the passers-by. It was quite entertaining!
After the parade we walked back to our friends' house for a bbq and some lawn golf. And some wrestling with Daddy.
Mid-afternoon we cruised home for a brief nap, then off to another bbq. Bella loved hanging out with the kids, especially our friends' 4 year old daughter as she LOVES older girls.
Emerson entertaining Bella.
Bella gazing at Emerson adoringly.
Jose and I enjoyed the company (and the adult beverages)! Eddie attempted to modify the kiddie fireworks for a dramatic effect, but it was to no avail. The kids liked the sparks though.
Overall, a great birthday eve!
