It has been really sunny and nice these past few weeks, which is unusual for May in Oregon, so we have been spending a lot of time outside. Bella loves to play in the dirt or color with her chalk on the sidewalk.
Last week, she broke her sunglasses, but as we were cleaning out her closet to separate Bella/baby stuff we found a spare pair. She was very excited!
On Thursday, Bella and I ran our usual errands (Target, lunch, library, visiting Jose at work). Jose found a dollar in his pocket and gave it to Bella. She decided that she really wanted to go to Target and buy a slushie with her dollar (I kicked in the extra $.39 because I am a nice mom!). Once she had her slushie, she walked up to the counter and gave the cashier her dollar. As we walked away, she started to freak out because she wanted her dollar back. Clearly, we have a ways to go in our money management lessons!
We also bought her some new shoes. I looked down and her toes we hanging off the end of her sandals. She is now a size 8!!!
Fortunately, she had lots of fun at the library and forgot about the dollar.
On Saturday, we went out to Chinese food. Bella's fortune said, "Stop searching for happiness- it is right next to you." She was not convinced.
