Easter

We woke up Easter morning, and Bella was very excited to see if the Easter Bunny stopped by our house. She ran to the living room to find her basket and eggs.
Apparently, the Easter bunny is really good at hiding eggs because Bella needed a little help in spotting them. Right in front of the tv and on top of the couch cushions were not obvious enough.
She (Bella always calls the Easter bunny a she) also left Playdoh and an Elmo book!
Bella was very excited to find that there was CANDY inside the eggs. She refused to eat her breakfast and instead held out for chocolate. Lesson learned. No Easter baskets before breakfast.
There were so many eggs!
Then, we got dressed and headed to church. Bella wanted to stay with us in the service. She did great! Colored, played with stickers, sang songs, ate snacks. She especially loved dancing to the music! The Hallelujiah chorus at the end was a little overwhelming though. She said, "It is TOO loud. We have to go now."
She also refused to take off her coat. I can now see why parenting can be frustrating during the holidays. I have a plan and toddlers just don't care what that plan might be. Different dress, festive coat, at least we made it to church.

After church, we picked up Jose's mom and took her to Elmer's for lunch. The food was delicious (especially for them as they hadn't eaten meat in 3 days). Bella also received a stuffed frog from the manager. She loved it. Plus, she got another egg with candy! By this time, we were all exhausted and went home for a nap. Which didn't happen. So we rested and went to Gramma Jamma and Kappa's.
Bella was excited. Obviously! She played puzzles with Gramma Jamma while we waited for Jose.

My parents surprised us with an Easter egg hunt outside! I can't remember the last time the weather was nice enough to do that. Jose and I thought we were kicked out, but due to the surprise weather we were included in the hunt.

There were lots of goodies!
Finally, after a delicious dinner, we had a dance party!

Happy Easter!

  2. My favorite photos are of Bella with her jacket on because she looks like a 50-year-old Southern belle. Adorable!

    And the dance party pics.

And the one with the shades.

    And all of them.
