Halloween

This was the first year that Bella kind of grasped the idea of Halloween. By that I mean that she just wanted candy.

Leading up to the day, she would practice her trick-or-treating by running up to our front door, pounding on it, and yelling, "Knock, knock, CANDY!"

On Halloween day, Bella was a little cranky. She had been punishing us for taking a cruise without her. I heard the word 'NO' about 53,287 times. Our first attempt at picture taking was less than awesome.

At least Jose cooperated.

Once we left the house she got a little more excited. We took her to my parents' house and Jose's parents' house to practice. After a battle of wills with my mom in which Bella refused to say "trick or treat" and instead just whined, "want some candy," Bella finally gave in.

Upon returning home, we ventured out to our neighbors' houses, but Bella got a little overwhelmed. Instead we stayed home and passed out candy to all the kiddos. We had quite a few this year! Everytime the door bell rang I would get up. Bella would run to the door, point at me, and yell, "Get the candy!" She loved greeting the kids and waving bye to everyone.

After a night of picture taking, Bella wanted to take a self portrait. Not too shabby!
