Once again, I am posting this late, but on Tuesday Isabella turned 14 months old.
This past month she has started running! Everywhere! Fast! She also loves yelling, and saying bye-bye. Sometimes both at the same time…. to the entire congregation as we are leaving church. Other new words include Go, Yay, Bubble, Cock-a-doodle-do, Bird, Car, and lots more that I can’t remember right now. She is really great at repeating what we say, so I guess I will have to watch my language now.
She is very charming and sweet. She loves cuddles and kisses and tickles. Her favorite activities are reading and playing with bubbles. Oh, and anything to do with water. Sometimes she will ask for a glass of “agua” just to stick her hand in it.
Bella is most definitely a toddler, and she loves doing big girl things like sitting in a big chair and drinking out of a big cup.
I am pretty sure she is already in the terrible twos. Jose calls her a little Sour Patch Kid. Like the commercial where the candy makes a fake tunnel and the man bikes into it and falls, but then the candy gives him a band aid. In our house it is more like a bite followed by a kiss. You can see the little gleam in her eye when she is about to do something she isn’t supposed to. When she gets caught she always freezes mid-motion and smiles. Fortunately, many items have been saved from the dog’s water bowl by me walking around the corner just in time.
She also has a hard time dealing with the word “no” (don’t most kids?), and when I don’t let her do something she makes a mean face and grinds her teeth at me. It is pretty funny!
It seems like every day she learns something new, and I can’t wait to see what next month brings.
