On Friday, Bella and I met my parents at the First Congregational Preschool auction. There we had some pizza and wandered around looking at the auction items and playing with the kids. Bella loves interacting with kids, especially older ones, and would walk up to them and grab their hand (or toy). My dad was following her around, and she walked into a room where a group of boys were playing. She watched them for a minute, then turned to leave the room. At the door she stopped, turned around, and said "bye bye" before leaving. So polite!
Saturday morning was spent laying low and trying to recover from our colds. That afternoon we went shopping for some new pants for Jose. Apparently he hit that 27year old growth spurt and all his pants are now a few inches too short. That evening we dined at Elmer's with Gramma Jamma and Grampa.
Sunday morning we had planned to go to church, but the time change and sickness threw Bella for a loop. She slept in until 10:30! Later, Jose mowed the lawn, while Bella stood by and supervised from inside.
We spent the afternoon grocery shopping, napping, and watching Sesame Street while playing with our new balloon.
There was a big rain and wind storm in town, but fortunately, we didn't lose power. Later, I made a tortellini dinner with 3 sauces: alfredo for Jose, pesto for me, and marinara for Isabella. I soon regretted that decision.
All in all it is just what we needed.

Love the pasta face! You're a sweet mom to accommodate all your eaters and their saucey preferences! KV
