First Family Vacation

To celebrate our anniversary, we took a road trip to Seattle! Jose and I were a little worried about the car ride because Isabella does not love riding in the car. However, she was a champ and slept 2 and a half hours both on the way there and back.

After 5 hours (and one stop to stretch and feed Bella) we were excited to see the Seattle skyline.

For an anniversary gift, my mom and dad gave us a room at the Westin downtown and dinner at one of my dad's restaurants! We arrived and settled in to our room on the 34th floor.

Bella and Jose tested out their beds. While I checked out the view. Bella definitely approved of her bed.

After relaxing for a bit, we left to catch the ferry to Bainbridge Island. While we waited in line, Bella took a snooze in the backseat.


Our trip across Puget Sound was uneventful, and we arrived hungry for dinner at Taprock Northwest Grill. It looks like a lodge from the outside, so we had no problem finding it. We split a chicken quesadilla appetizer. I had fish tacos and Jose had a firehouse burger. Sooooo delicious! Bella had a fun time, too!

On the ferry ride home, we went to the upper deck and viewed the city lights. Bella loved the wind.

The next morning, we woke up and went swimming! The pool was warm and the hot tub was perfect! Isabella also enjoyed playing around in her swimsuit.

The next stop was the Space Needle! It was a beautiful day! Jose and I soon realized that our family is now too big to take self portraits (our arms aren't long enough to fit all of our big heads) So we had a stranger help us.

We capped off our stay with some shopping downtown. Bella rode in her stroller without her carseat. Such a big girl!

I will leave out my rant about the 8 hour trip home, except to say that Cheesecake Factory with Jenna was AMAZING! And cheesecake makes a good breakfast.
