October 2015- More Soccer, A New Job, and Halloween

October is one of my all time favorite months. The weather is getting cooler, but not yet really rainy. Leaves are changing color, pumpkin patches are open, and anticipation for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas is growing. The kids are a bit more settled into their routine. Here is our October Round Up.

Our friend, Katie, made these shirts for her husband and Jose to wear while they coach. Representing the Pink Unicorns!

Natalia loves watching Bella play soccer.

An hour is about her limit, but she likes to sit in her chair and eat snacks while she cheers.

It is just about the end of acceptable ice cream season, but pumpkin fro yo is here!

Jenna and Wren gave us a gift certificate for helping plan their wedding last year, and we finally got a weekend free to go to the coast. It was rainy, windy, and overall stormy, but the hotel had room service and an indoor pool so we had a great time. Family dog pile!

Bella is growing some teeth back.

I don't even remember what is going on here, but Natalia is great at making faces. So expressive!

Here is your semi-annual reminder to wear sunscreen!

The rainy season means that we spend a lot of time doing indoor activities. The library is one of our favorite spots to spend a rainy afternoon.

In October, I made a big change. After 8 and a half years I left my job at the hospital.

My last day was spent touring the secret room on the 9th floor and visiting the helipad on the roof.

Great views, but pretty scary.

The mall is another fun rainy day spot. The girls like to play at the playground.

It was my last day at the hospital and I left really early (because they terminated my access to everything at 9 am) so we had a play day. They got Panda Express for lunch, and got to ride the animals.

We still lucked out on the soccer weather. The Pink Unicorns had a fun season.

Mid-month I began my new job at the university.

My new office has great light, and is right in the middle of campus.

I visited the Alumni Center and found my name.

Halloween was fantastic this year! Violet Incredible and Super Why went trick-or-treating for hours, and they only stopped when the rain was POURING!
