Up until this year, we have always had low key, mostly family birthdays for the girls. This is the first year Bella has really started to go to other kids' birthday parties, so I think that trend might be over. After attending her cousin Aiden's party at Chuck E Cheese last summer, Bella wanted to have her party there, too.
Bella really does not like to be the focus of attention (unless you are in a small group that she knows well) so I was a little worried about how this would go.
She was so excited that her friends were able to come celebrate with her.
When Chuck E came for the birthday show, Bella got a little nervous, but mostly went along with the instructions.
She was really excited for the ticket blaster. Her face looked horrified the entire time, but later she told me it was one of her favorite parts.
Fortunately, Jose is awesome at collecting tickets.
The kids also enjoyed the pinata.
Guess who ended up pulling it open? Yep, the baby.
Kappa looks pretty excited about the candy, too! (He was helping Natalia.)
