Introducing Natalia Mae

Two weeks ago, Jose and I woke up bright and early.

My c-section was scheduled for 7:20 am, so we were supposed to check in to the hospital at 5:20. That is too early!!! After getting prepped for surgery, we found out that there was a woman in preterm labor with twins so she got the OR. Fortunately, they delivered the babies quickly and it was our turn.

Natalia Mae was born on August 10, 2012 at 8:11 am. She was 20 and a half inches long and weighed 9 pounds and 4.5 ounces.

Our family crashed the recovery room. Fortunately, our nurse was very nice and let them in since I was just about to be moved to the mother baby room.

Natalia has been a champion baby. We learned a lot with Bella, so the eating and sleeping have been great! So far.

Isabella absolutely adores her sister. She wants to give her hugs and kisses all the time. Even when she is sleeping, which is most of the time.

We got to go home after two days, which was really nice. Getting woken up every few hours to get vitals for us was not very fun.

I was reading our blog entries from when Bella was a newborn because we forgot what it was like for her. So, future self, if you are thinking about having a third child, here are the things you need to take into consideration: low blood pressure, acid reflux, crazy post delivery hormones, 3 children on your lap. We made it through all those things this time, and it was very much worth it.

  1. She's a beautiful little blessing! Congrats. I completely agree with you about learning from the first one and being a little more relaxed with the second one. You guys will do great. I love the pics of Bella - she's glowing with happiness! KV
