4th of July

We had a wonderful and relaxing 4th of July! I woke up early (ok, it was 815, but that is early for a non-work day) to make the Scott family traditional Flag Fruit Pizza... while Jose and Bella slept. I actually made two since we had two parties to attend.


Once everyone was up and properly attired in our red, white, and blue, we headed down to Creswell for their 4th of July celebration. It was very festive with a parade, food booths in the park, and a wonderful bbq and croquet game at Lesa and Dave's.


In the afternoon, we drove back home to get ready for our block party. After an outfit change, we congregated out front for a potluck and more bbq.




This year was pretty low key, since all the neighbors with kids went elsewhere. That was ok for us because Bella doesn't really like surprise loud noises. The fireworks were not a hit, so Bella and I went to bed early. All the better to prepare for my birthday!
